This week I was reading my scriptures and I came across this part that really stood out to me and I really liked. It said," I the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise." (Doctrine and Covenants, Doctrine and Covenants, Section 82). It made me really think that we have to do our part and if we do that he will do the rest. He is always willing to help us but if we are not doing our part he can't help us. I have really seen this in my life and I have seen if I am doing my part he will help and do the rest. We can't expect him to do it all we have to do our part.

Thanks for this! I needed this reminder today. I think it's so easy to pray for things that we need or want, and then forget about it, but the Lord can't really bless us or answer us if we aren't actively seeking His guidance. We need to work just as hard to do our part!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this and agree with what you said. The Lord knows our abilities and knows if we are really living up to what we are able to do, which is amazing, because he knows us better than anyone else.
